Position: Farmer Manager (Male)

Location: Zalewa, Neno District, Malawi

About the Role

Malpack Limited is commercially growing a variety of fruits on our 50-hectare orchard in Zalewa, Neno District. We are looking for a hands-on Farm Manager to live on site and run day-to-day operations.

If you are reliable, experienced in commercial farming, and ready to take full ownership of farm operations, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing agricultural enterprise.

Key requirements

1. Experience managing a commercial farm (fruit/horticulture preferred)
2. Experience leading large labour teams
3. Strong spoken and written English
4. Working knowledge of irrigation and fertiliser programmes
5. Willing to live on site in Zalewa (accommodation provided)
6. Reliable, hands-on, and able to use good judgement independently

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and lead a large team of labourers (scheduling, discipline, productivity)
2. Oversee planting, fertilising, irrigation, and general crop care
3. Manage farm inputs, equipment, and basic infrastructure
4. Report regularly to directors on progress and issues
5. Take on any other duties needed to keep the farm running well
