About Nkhamenya Community Hospital

Nkhamenya Community Hospital is a Catholic health facility under the Mzuzu Diocese. It operates under the Diocese’s Health Commission, which works to ensure that quality healthcare services provided by the Catholic Church are accessible to rural communities and meet professional standards.

The hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for three positions of Nurses Midwifery Technicians Internees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist doctors and clinicians during ward rounds, clinics and medical procedures.
2. Provide comprehensive care to chronically ill patients using the nursing process.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and compile daily reports and other required data.
4. Examine and assess antenatal mothers and other patients.
5. Provide care to mothers during delivery in the labour ward.
6. Prepare and deliver health education talks to patients, clients and guardians.
7. Conduct mobile and static clinics on designated days.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. College diploma in Nursing and Midwifery.
2. At least two years of experience in the relevant position.
3. Must be a practising Christian.
4. Must have a traceable professional record.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration

A competitive remuneration package in line with the Government of Malawi salary scale will be offered to successful candidates.
